What Is Forestry Mulching?

Forestry mulching is the most efficient way to remove brush and trees up to 8” in diameter. The forestry mulching attachment on our skid steer mulches up the trees and brush. As the bed of mulch deteriorates it brings nutrients to the mature trees so they can thrive. The mulch also prevents the erosion of the soil. If you remove brush with a bulldozer or by hand, you are left with a large pile of brush to burn or remove. Forestry mulching is a much more cost effective way of eliminating brush.

Why should I remove invasive plant species from my property?

Honeysuckle and Autumn olive are common invasive plant species found in Indiana. If not taken care of, they will continue to spread and grow. They will not allow the mature trees to grow. To learn more about invasive plant species, visit the Indiana DNR website
